As of 2009, I've official returned to LiveJournal, however, it is "Friends Only". I want to write entries for the sole purpose of looking back at them in the future, but I don’t want the entire world reading about my personal affairs. Of course, nothing on the internet is one-hundred percent secure though...ah, you get my gist!

Let's see, what have I been up to?

Well, I'm still invested in the whole Japanese pop culture thing (have been for about 10 years now) but I've ventured into other cultures as well, such as Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese. But besides Asian, I’ve discovered African, Arab, Hebrew pop culture, specifically their music. I’ve always been fascinated by the array of languages in the world and how people are able to incorporate the American sound to their music and make it sound so similar, which helps us all come together as one!

In my spare time, I enjoy watching doramas, which are Japanese dramas, soap opera-like television shows that are similar to American soap operas, only that they don’t last forever and are usually based on manga (Japanese comic books). Coincidentally, I prefer Korean and Taiwanese dramas, as oppose to the Japanese ones.

I’m still interested in a good anime every now and then, but nowadays I prefer seeing real people act them out.

I’ve always been a hardcore Sailormoon fan and I always will be. Well, perhaps not so much hardcore anymore, but the show, the musicals, the comics, will always be in my heart, as lame as that sounds (lol). More specifically, the romance between Usagi and Mamoru, and the abundance of romantic subtext (well, they are canon :P) between Haruka and Michiru will always be dear to me. I’ve invested much of my teenage hood writing, reading, and dreaming about them, and one day finding love like theirs. I’m not quite over them yet. Old habits die hard, eh?

I am a college student and I believe I will be for a long time (lol). Currently, I am a Speech-Language Pathology major working on my bachelors and hoping to attend Graduate school in the near future. I have been inspired by my fraternal twin sister, who is diagnosed with cerebral palsy, and my fascination for the art of language in general. Speech and language is something everyone should have the gift of being able to know...being able to produce. I want to help the speech disabled gain that confidence in their speaking abilities and much more. I am dedicated to my family, specifically my twin sister. She is close to me, despite her disabilities and she has been through a lot. Yet, she is always happy and giggling. I don’t understand it...she’s always so happy, yet I’ve always been such a crybaby. I cried endlessly when she was hospitalized for those many months on a respirator. It’s...amazing though. I never saw her cry at all during that time. I love her so very much and I hope one day we can get to see her walk and talk again...if not now, then in the future when God restores the earth to what he originally has planned for it to be – a paradise - land of perfection.

Perhaps to many peoples surprise, I am a born-again Christian. I worship the God of the Hebrews; God of Abraham. I’m not going to specify of what faith I am, but Christianity is important to me. I must say, though, that I thoroughly disagree with the Trinity – I do not believe that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are one, it’s just has not been proven, Biblically, amongst other things that are of popular belief to Christians that I just cannot agree with.
